Website launch checklist.

A simple list of things I check before a small business site goes live. It is useful for new websites, website refreshes and local projects that need to look trustworthy on phones.

Before launch

The checks that matter most.

Not every website needs a huge setup at the start. These are the practical checks that make the biggest difference for visitors and search engines.

Clear homepagePeople should understand who you are, what you offer and how to contact you quickly.
Mobile layoutMenus, buttons, text size and forms should be comfortable on a phone.
Contact routesEmail links, enquiry forms, phone numbers or social links should be obvious and tested.
Local signalsLocation, service area, business type and useful local wording should be present where relevant.
SEO basicsTitles, meta descriptions, headings, sitemap, robots.txt and clean internal links.
Speed basicsKeep pages lightweight, avoid unnecessary plugins and load only what the page needs.
Trust contentServices, prices or guide prices, examples, FAQs, policies and clear wording.
HTTPS and domainCheck SSL, www/non-www behaviour, Cloudflare settings and redirects.
Future updatesLeave room for new pages, offers, photos, app tools, featured slots and content changes.

What I can check for you.
